Dr. Spennewyn graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2019 and started working at the Institute for Orthopedics & Chiropractic (IOC) shortly after. Previously, he attended the University of Northwestern Saint Paul and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Through IOC, he has continued his education with a deep understanding in joint biomechanics, Gonstead chiropractic manipulation, and specialized forms of physical therapy techniques including Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) patterns and functional rehabilitation techniques.
Dr. Spennewyn grew up with a love and passion for science and healthcare. His father, an Exercise Physiologist, taught him this love from an early age. His passion further developed as a personal trainer specializing in corrective exercise and rehabilitation. He is an evidence-based and science-first Chiropractor who sees his role in healthcare as the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and the restoration of joint mobility using non-surgical techniques.
In his free time, Dr. Spennewyn enjoys spending time with friends and family, finding new experiences around town, and exploring new cuisines. When he has a bit more free time, he enjoys visiting nature parks around the US and traveling to Europe to visit his extended family.
