Anna J. Retzke, PT, DPT, CSCS

Anna Retzke is a Physical Therapist who joined the Institute for Orthopedics & Chiropractic after over five years of experience in various therapy settings. Anna believes that successful recovery requires a multi-faceted treatment approach, including specific manual therapy techniques, tailored exercise techniques, body mechanic training for daily activities, and promotion of a lifestyle with ongoing exercise.

Following a career as a bioelectrical engineer, Anna graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Concordia University of Wisconsin. Her degree in Physical Therapy has allowed her to hone her problem-solving skills, which help her identify the root-cause of patients’ conditions.  She applies advanced techniques focused on treating the cause of pain taught in Fascial Counterstrain, the Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT) Professional Development Program and the reputable Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation.

Anna has also completed a diverse selection of post-graduate training. Her most recent coursework in Counterstrain is gentle and powerful, and provides patients long-lasting relief. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), which gives her access to current research for exercise and wellness. Additionally, she incorporates her neurological system training to improve balance and prevent re-injury. Learn more about Fascial Counterstrain at counterstrain.com/patients.

In her free time, Anna enjoys gardening and cooking. She also participates in a choir and stays active outdoors.
