Dr. Chris Lawson is a physical therapist that joined Institute for Orthopedics and Chiropractic after gaining 4 years of experience at a sports and orthopedics clinic in Columbus, OH that specializes in working with runners and endurance athletes. He recently moved back to Minneapolis to live closer to family. Dr. Lawson obtained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota in 2019. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from The College of Saint Scholastica, where he also ran cross country and track.

Dr. Lawson has experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic and sports injuries and has specialized skills in manual therapy, integrative dry needling, and running gait analysis. Chris enjoys getting people of all abilities back to the activities they love and giving them the tools to stay injury free.

In his free time, Dr. Lawson enjoys staying active with running, biking, hiking, and traveling.  He also enjoys drinking locally roasted coffee and spending time with his wife, Lizzie, and his cat, Zara.
